Lucas Heflin

A Washington native, Lucas attained his BS in Aeronautics & Astronautics from the University of Washington in Seattle where he was awarded the Stokes Scholarship by the Department of Defense. As a part of the Stokes program, he worked a mile high in Denver upon graduation and supported national security interests. Now, Lucas is back in school at UIUC researching improved algorithms and techniques for mission planning and flight control software. He is fascinated by all things aerospace with a special interest in GNC systems, autonomy, and robotics.
