SASSI^2 Launch Confirmed!
SASSI^2 has recieved a confirmed launch slot as a secondary payload on an Orbital ATK Antares launch vehicle out of NASA Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. The primary payload (designated OA-10) is an Orbital ATK Cygnus ISS resupply vehicle and will occur in the fall of 2018.

The Putnam Research Group has been awarded a grant to lead mission design and aerocapture system development for the Chariot to the Moons of Mars planetary small satellite mission concept study.
Welcome to New Students
The Putnam Research Group welcomes its two newest gradate students, Nate Skolnik and Jimmy Williams. Nate is a NASA Space Technology Research Fellow investigating the application of self-healing materials to thermal protection systems for entry vehicles. Jimmy is the lead graduate student mentor for the SASSIĀ² flight project.
